The Fundación Laboral de Minusválidos Santa Bárbara (FUSBA) is an organization which has been created by Empresa Nacional Hulleras del Norte, S.A. (HUNOSA) in the year 1976, but with its own legal entity. So far, it has opened two plants: “NALÓN” in Carbayín Alto – Siero in the year 1976 and “CAUDAL” in Ujo – in the year 1985. Thus, both are situated in the Princedom of Asturias.

Its staff is comprised by 125 disabled (physically, psychologically and sensorially) people, supported by technical, commercial and social managing personnel. The Foundation markets its products under the name “FUSBA,” with different lines of business at present:

FUSBA stands out for its seriousness and behavior, with an aim for service and a quest for customer satisfaction, apart from developing support programs which favor personal and social accommodation of the workers in their plants, insertion actions, favoring participation and social integration of disabled people, encouraging personal autonomy, providing family support and promoting access to resources and services.

We are specialists in the manufacturing of tailored work clothes for technical protection, offering a wide range of colors and designs for the same model. At present, we are working hard into this line of business, developing different articles (jackets, shirts, pants, workpants and sweatshirts) to meet several requirements: anti-tangling, anti-static, fireproofing, anti-acid, high visibility and a combination of them. All of them having the EC certification, and in keeping with the dispositions of Standard 89/686/EEC –PPE.

At the same time, we are continuously developing all our designs to meet customer’s demands.

We offer a wide range of EC marked clothes such as sweatshirts, vests, suits and a high-visibility sweatshirt, permanent fireproofing suits and sweatshirts, permanent fireproofing and anti-static suits and sweatshirts, anti-entanglement outfits and fireproofing suits and sweatshirts for welding tasks and techniques the like.

As a supplement to our production, I am including below some items that we do not manufacture ourselves, yet, we do sell them. We have our own serigraphy workshop, so we can also provide all kinds of marks or logos for any of these articles.

FUSBA is an ISO 9001:2000 certified organization for the manufacturing of working clothes and gear for the general industry by Lloyd’s Register, and it is registered with the Registry of Suppliers of the Ministry of Defense for provision of Military Outfits.
